LAWRENCE — Adolfo ‘Chico’ Bello, 58, of Lawrence, passed away Friday, January 3, 2014, peacefully at home surrounded by his family.
He was the husband of Mrs. Luz M. Bello, his loving wife of 31 years.
A native of Pinal Del Rio, Cuba, he was born on September 29, 1955, son of the late Pedro and Ana L. Martinez Guerra.
In the late 1960s, he came to Boston where he met his future wife. Together they established a family and settled in this city.
He was a devoted employee of nearly four decades at McLean Hospital, Belmont, and continued to work until his health did not permit.
Mr. Bello could easily make friends. He was a man of principle and always saw the good in others. His ultimate legacy will be his dedication to his family and neighbors. He enjoyed collecting coins and working on automobiles.
In addition to his wife, he was the proud father of three daughters, Nydia Lara, Maritza Bello, Yanira Bello; one son, Adolfo Bello Jr.; seven grandchildren.

Calling hours, Tomorrow, Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, from 4 to 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at 10 a.m., in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Lawrence.
Final acts of farewell and laying to rest will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Lawrence.
