Haverhill — Helen Marie (Gardner) Breidel, 79, of Clovis, N.M., passed away on the early morning of December 30, 2013, as a result of complications of double pneumonia, at the Clovis Hospital in Clovis.
She was born in Haverhill on October 3, 1934, and was the daughter of the late Hillaire and Blanche (Allard) Gardner. She was the loving wife of the late George Breidel. She is a native of Haverhill and a graduate of Haverhill High School.
Helen was a loving and caring mother, devoted sister, caring meme, and a faithful friend to many. She loved spending time with her family more than anything. Helen also was an avid reader of romantic novels, was nicknamed "Pretty Fingers" for her sly card playing of any game, and was luckier than most at bingo. She traveled frequently the last 20 years of her life.
Her surviving family members include her children, Dennis Breidel and his wife, Diane, of Haverhill, Teresa Budrewicz and her husband, David, of Haverhill, Laurie Johannsen of New Mexico, John Breidel and his wife, Wendy, of Haverhill, Michael Breidel of Texas, and Randy Breidel and his wife, Gretchen, of North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Heather Budrewicz of Haverhill, Lindsay Breidel and Kaitlin Breidel, both of Virginia, and Jeremey Breidel, Hannah Breidel, Aidan Breidel, and Breanna Breidel, all of Texas; sister, Claire Nadeau of New Hampshire; and many nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 11, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 So. Main St., Route 125, Bradford, from 2 to 4 p.m. A Prayer Vigil will be held at 4 p.m. Private family interment will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Haverhill.
