North Andover — Barbara J. (Daly) Turpin, 85, of North Andover, and formerly of Melrose, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2014, at the Wingate of Haverhill. Barbara was born in Malden, Mass., to the late James and Margaret (McDonough) Daly. She was raised and educated in Malden, having graduated with her class from The Girls Catholic High School in Malden. Barbara was the office manager for many years at the Melrose Care Center. She oved her cats, however, her greatest passion was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a communicant of St. Michael Church, North Andover.
Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Ralph W. Turpin, and is survived by her children, Ralph Turpin and his wife, Donna, of Derry, N.H., Steven Turpin and his wife, Robin, of Hamilton, Peter Turpin and his wife, Courtney, of Groveland, Donna Ippolito and her husband, Nick, of North Andover, Barbara McLean and her husband, Bob, of North Andover, Kathy Turpin of Lawrence, and Elaine Martin and her husband, Gary, of Saugus; her 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Barbara was predeceased by her six siblings.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her funeral Mass on Friday, January 10, at 11 a.m., in St. Michael Church, 196 Main St., North Andover. Interment will follow in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, West Peabody. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, from 4 to 7 p.m., in the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third St., North Andover.
