Pelham, NH — Earle K. Fox, Jr., 86, of Pelham, New Hampshire, died Wednesday, November 27, at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara R. (Schroeder) Fox who died February 17, 2012.
Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, March 4, 1927, the son of the late Earle K. Fox, Sr. and the late Alma (Stearns) Fox, he attended Pelham, NH schools and was a graduate of the Edward F. Searles High School in Methuen, MA. He then went on to graduate from Bridgton Academy in Bridgton, Maine and also attended Tufts University in Boston.
A veteran of World War II, Earle proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was awarded the American Theater Ribbon, the Good Conduct Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.
Before retiring, Mr. Fox was employed as a Regional Sales Manager with Kiebler Sunshine Biscuit Company in Natick, MA for over 35 years. He was also the owner and operator of Fox Gun & Sports Shop in Pelham for over 40 years and worked at University Cap & Gown for many years as well.
Among his activities, Earle was a former president of the Pelham Fish & Game Club for 38 years and a member of the American Legion Post #100 in Pelham. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman having hunted and fished all over North America.
Mr. Fox is survived by a daughter, Cheryl L. Renteria and her husband, Ralph, of Pelham, NH; two sons, Duane E. Fox and his wife, Linda, and Earle K. Fox III, all of Pelham, NH; five grandchildren, Aaron Fox and his wife, Jennifer, of Reading, MA, Bryan R. Parker of Pepperell, MA, Brad R. Parker and his wife, Katie, of East Lyme, CT, Craig Parker and his fiancée, Kaitlyn Larson, of Burlington, CT and Julie Parker and her fiancé, Matt Lawton of Manchester, NH; and several nieces and nephews.
