Lawrence — Kathleen G. (Laratonda) Jukins 61, of Lawrence, died Friday at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill surrounded by her loving family.
Kathleen “Kathy” was born in Lawrence on December 3,1950 to Frank and Margaret (Baratta) Laratonda. She attended Lawrence schools and was a graduate of Lawrence High School.
She was currently employed as a tax examiner at the IRS in Methuen.
Kathleen loved the beach and enjoyed trips to Cape Cod and Foxwoods. Most importantly, she cherished being a mother to her two boys, a grandmother, and spending time with and caring for her family.
She is survived by her two sons, David Jukins and his wife Tammy of Portsmouth N.H. and Brian Jukins of Lexington. She is also survived by her mother Margaret "Margie” Laratonda of Lawrence, and her sister Elaine Odrino and her husband Daniel of Epping N.H. and her long time companion, Sam Hester of Lawrence, as well as her beloved grandchildren Kenneth, Sarah, and Zachary Jukins,
Also, among her survivors are several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
Kathleen was predeceased by her father, Frank Laratonda.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are asked to gather at 8:30 AM on Tuesday at the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third Street, North Andover, in preparation for a Funeral Mass to be offered at 10 AM at Corpus Christi Parish in Holy Rosary Church. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
Family and friends may call on Monday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
