Methuen — Carole (Samperi) Shwetz, 70, of Methuen, formerly of Andover passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at the Tufts Medical Center in Boston. She was born in Lawrence and was the daughter of the late Charles and Christine (Cocchiaro) Samperi.

Carole was raised and educated in Lawrence and was a graduate of Lawrence High School and Burdette College in Boston. She worked as an accountant for the Woman’s Crisis Center in Newburyport and also many other area companies.

She was a member and former president of Quota International of Andover, a women’s charitable organization. She also attended one of their international conferences in Australia. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She also enjoyed playing Bridge and gardening in her yard.

Carole is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Ronald Shwetz; her son, Mark Shwetz and his wife Christy of Pasadena, MD; her daughter, Michelle Smith and her husband Stephen of Georgetown; her brothers, Robert Fichera of Salisbury and Salvatore Fichera of Las Vegas; her sister, Geraldine Dupuis and her husband Paul of Venice, FL., formerly of Boxford, MA and her loving grandchildren, Connor, Dillon, Spencer and Cassandra. She was also the sister of the late Mary Rudnicki.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, October 26, 2012 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Cataudella Funeral Home 126 Pleasant Valley St. Methuen. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 9:00 AM at St. Monica’s Church, 212 Lawrence St. Methuen. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery, Lawrence. Memorial donations may be made to Tufts Medical Center / Breast Cancer Research and mailed to Dr. John K. Reading, formerly of Lawrence — Helen D. (DeFusco) Rickley of Reading, formerly of Lawrence, passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on Saturday, May 18, 2013. Helen was predeceased by her parents, Pasqualina (Miele) and Alexander, and her sister, Evelyn. Helen had a beauty of character and personality that was noticed by everyone she met. She devoted her life to raising and loving her family. She also devoted a good part of her life to her parish church and the elementary school children of Reading at Pearl Street and Killam Schools. She served as a volunteer teacher’s aide at the two schools for almost 30 years. She served at St. Athanasius in the old Arts and Crafts group and sang in the church choir for almost 35 years.

Atkinson, NH — Charliene P. Moore died May 16, 2013, in Pleasant Valley, N.H., after a long illness from cancer. She was born in Cambridge, Mass., on Aug. 16, 1945, daughter of the late Pearl and Charles Moore. She grew up in Everett, Mass., and graduated from Malden High. Charliene worked at the IRS for 20 years and for Securitas Services where her security assignments included stints at Sweetheart Plastics, Hewlitt Packard and Global Insights. She fought a long, hard battle with cancer and through it all loved her co-workers and friends. Charliene is survived by her longtime companion, Linda McAdams of Atkinson, N.H., and “Mac,” her furry little friend. Special thanks for the love and support given by the Nursing Staff from the Pleasant Valley Nursing Home and the Compassionate Hospice Care, where memorial donations may be sent in lieu of flowers to 25 Nashua Road #3, Londonderry, NH 03053.
