Susan M. Napolitano, 88

Lawrence — Susan M. (Boragine) Napolitano, 88, of Lawrence passed away on March 18, 2013 at the Mary Immaculate Nursing Home. Susan was born in Lawrence on March 26, 1924 to Gaetano and Anna (DePadova) Boragine who were the proprietors of Shorty's Variety Store on Irving Avenue in Lawrence for many years. Susan was the devoted wife of the late Alphonse Napolitano with whom they celebrated 60 years of marriage before his death by an accident on the Hampton Beach Bridge in 2004.

She attended Lawrence Public Schools graduating from Lawrence High School and was employed at Greico Brothers in Lawrence, MA before her retirement. Suzie and Al traveled the world after retirement before settling at Seabrook Beach, NH. Prior to living at the beach, they made their home in Methuen, MA. Susan loved to read and spent many hours solving crossword puzzles. She was a communicant of Holy Rosary Church and most recently St. Patrick Church in Lawrence.

She is survived by sons Frank Napolitano and his wife Connie, Timothy Napolitano and his wife, Sharon of Lawrence. Grammy was cherished by Christine Napolitano and John DeStefano of Salem, NH, Cara Green and husband Kenneth of Lawrence, Frank Napolitano and wife Nicole of Radford, Virginia, Shellie Garon and husband Joseph of Haverhill, MA and Shalynn Ouellette and husband Kenny of Bakersfield, California. Grammy was blest with nine great-grandchildren; Michael and Allyson Lavoie, Jacob and Lily Green, Abigail and Dominic Napolitano, Kaylee and Kylie Ouellette and Madison Garon. Susan also leaves behind her loving sister Rachel Napolitano of Methuen. Besides her husband and parents, Susan was predeceased by her cherished sister, Josephine Kennelly.

Suzie was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, cousin and friend who will be sorely-missed by all who loved her.

ARRANGEMENTS: Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to call at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen, MA on Thursday March 21, 2103 from 4:00 pm to 8:00pm.A mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday March 22, 2013 at 10:00 am at Corpus Christi Parish in Holy Rosary Church 35 Essex St. Lawrence.
