Norine P. (Lapham) Heddemon


Haverhill — Norine P. (Lapham) Heddemon, 80, formerly of Groveland, passed away peacefully one day before her 81st birthday on March 16, 2013 with members of her loving family present. Mrs. Heddemon was the wife of the late, Dana E. Heddemon who was the love of her life. Born in New York City on March 17, 1932 she was the daughter of the late Leland and Yvonne (Valcourt) Lapham.

Norine was educated in Haverhill and graduated from Haverhill High School, class of 1950. She continued her schooling at Fazio Hairdressers School in Lawrence graduating in 1954. Norine owned and operated Norine Patricia’s Salon in Haverhill for many years. She retired in 1995 due to her declining health. Her commitment to the community was evident as a part-time office worker at the former St. Joseph’s Church, and as a dedicated volunteer driver for Northern Essex Elder Transport (NEET) driving the elderly to their appointments. She, and her late husband, Dana, were members of Mass Bay Winnies, and enjoyed traveling with friends throughout New England and across the country. She cherished the many years spent with her family at their camp on Country Pond in Newton, N.H.

Norine is survived by her daughter, Patricia Alvarado and her husband, William of Atkinson; grandchildren, Scott Bouchard and his wife, Jessica of Milford, N.H., Deanna Ziminski and her husband, Scott of Atkinson, Timothy Bouchard and his wife, Tanya of Atkinson; great-grandchildren, Cade and Nika Bouchard, Kiptyn and Cole Ziminski, Avigail and Ryder Bouchard; step-children, Muriel Gordon of Plaistow, Karen Hubner of New Hampshire and Beth Elliott of N.H. She was the sister of the late, Leland Lapham, Jr. and Barbara Twombly. She also leaves a very dear friend, Kay Green-Byrd of Haverhill.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends will gather at Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill on Thursday, March 21 at 10 a.m. to be followed by a funeral mass at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
