Allenstown, N.H. — William H. Rogers, of Allenstown, N.H., died October 1, 2012. He was born in Concord, Mass. on June 6, 1929. He was the son of the Late E. Stuart Rogers and the late Bertha A. Rogers.
He was a graduate of Somerville High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a masters of education from Northeastern University.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and served as past Commander of the Disabled American Veterans Hannah Dustin Chapter #20 and was a member of the Korean War Veterans Post # 288-294 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was also past member of the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks, MTA-NEA and the Maine Traffic Club and a past president of the Andover Church Basketball League.
After leaving Wang Labs, he taught at the Middlesex Community College and Northern Essex Community College.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley (Hamel) Rogers; daughter, Gail H. Privitera and her husband David; a son, John B. Rogers and a daughter Nancy A. Rogers; five grandchildren, Arianna and Sheridan Rogers of Lowell, Carla and Nicholas Privitera of Georgetown, and Jason Williams of Methuen; two great grandchildren, Isabella and Benjamin Williams; and two brothers, E. Stuart Rogers of Albuquerque, N.M., and Clark A. Rogers of Bufton, S.C.
He was predeceased by one brother John W. Rogers of Hyannis.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 5 at 10 a.m. at Christ Church, 25 Central Street, Andover, Mass.
Graveside services will be held at a later date at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
