Haverhill, MA — Norman J. Ouellette, 72, a longtime resident of Haverhill. died suddenly at his home on Tuesday, September 10, 2013.
Born, raised, and educated in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Leonide and Lucia (Arel) Ouellette. He attended St. Joseph’s School and the Haverhill Trade School. A Vietnam War veteran, he served as an Airman 2nd Class in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 to 1963.
He worked in auto repair for 12 years, and was most recently employed as a maintenance worker for Amtrak Railroads. Mr. Ouellette was a member of All Saints Parish. He enjoyed model ship building and woodworking. He was also an avid football fan.
He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Ouellette of Florida; two brothers, Robert J. Ouellette and his wife, Terry, of Plaistow, N.H., and Paul J. Ouellette and his wife, Patricia, of Amesbury; a sister, Marie Lawson and her husband, Paul, of Haverhill; and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends may call on Monday, September 16, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, Mass. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 17, at 9 a.m., from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at 10 a.m., in All Saints Church. Burial with military honors will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
