John Meyer, 85

Andover, MA. — John Meyer, 85, of Andover, and formerly of Dracut, passed away on September 13, 2013, at the Blair House in Tewksbury. John was born in Exeter, N.H., to the late Carl A. and Jenny (Krieger) Meyer. John was a mechanic for many years at Allen's Truck Stop in Amesbury, as well as Trombley's Motorcoach in Methuen. He also worked at The Pacific Mills in Lawrence.

John served his country proudly with the U.S. Navy, having been stationed during WW II on the LST 747 in the Phillipines. John was an avid NASCAR fan and was also a member of the Studebaker Driving Club.

John was the beloved husband of Lorri A. (Strait) Meyer of Andover; father of Karen M. Meyer and her husband, Joseph, of Lowell; grandfather of Richard Concheri Jr., Jayson Meyer and Matthew Hanlon; brother of Carl Meyer Jr. and his wife, Dorothea, of Hingham, William Meyer of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Elizabeth of Verdi, Nev. John was predeceased by his children, John R. Meyer and Elizabeth T. Concheri, and his sister, Natalie Drelick.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his Funeral Service on Thursday, September 19, at 11 a.m., in the Conte Funeral Home, 28 Florence Street, Andover. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, Andover. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m., in the funeral home.     Andover — Ann Marie (Kramer) Reilly, 52, of Andover and most recently, North Andover, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014. She was born on Sept. 20, 1961 in Lynn, Mass. to Nancy E. (Stickel) Kramer and the late Donald J. Kramer. Ann Marie graduated from Andover High School and followed in the footsteps of her proud father, Donald J. Kramer, attending Northeastern University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in 1984. While her later years were primarily a homemaker, Ann Marie’s early career was as an accountant.

    Andover — Eileen (Bibeau) Marget passed away peacefully at Wingate Nursing Home on Monday morning, July 7. She had been afflicted with Alzheimer's disease for the past several years. Born on March 20, 1926, she grew up in South Lawrence, attending St. Patrick's High School, where she was valedictorian of her senior class. She briefly attended college before returning home to help provide for her family during WWII. She went back to school later in life to become a Licensed Practical Nurse, and ended her employment working for Hewlet-Packard.

    Salisbury, MA. — John A. D’Amore, 77, of Salisbury, passed on June 15, 2014, after a brief battle with cancer. John was born in Medford on Feb. 19, 1937 to the late Anthony and Angelina (Christoforo) D’Amore. He graduated from Medford High School in 1955 where he played football and hockey. John spent most of his life working in the construction industry as a project estimator/manager. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching sports especially football and hockey. John was also a longtime youth hockey coach.

He was the husband of the late Carmella (Morelli) Pasquale of Portland, Maine, who died in 1949, and Carrie (Francescone) Pasquale, who died in 1994.

  • Arthur Desjardins Jr., 90

    Lawrence, MA — Arthur O. Desjardins Jr., 90, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, July 4, 2014. Arthur was the son of Alma (Lavallee) and Arthur Desjardins, Sr., and was born on April 9, 1924. Arthur was a World War II veteran, proudly serving in the U.S. Army, 344 Combat Engineers. He was the foreman of the sanitation department for the City of Lawrence for many years, before retiring in 1979.

  • Arthur LaChance, 93

    Windham, NH — Arthur LaChance, 93, of Windham, N.H., passed away peacefully at his home on July 2, 2014. Arthur was born on May 31, 1921, in Manchester, N.H., to the late Orville and Henedine LaChance. He enjoyed skiing in the mountains until he reached his 80s, playing 45s, boating, square dancing, and activities with his family. Arthur especially found joy spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As a graduate of Lawrence High School in 1939, Arthur attended Lowell Tech. He was a member of Council #4027 Knights of Columbus, a member of the Salem New Hampshire and Methuen Chamber of Columbus, a member of the Methuen Board of Trade and Holy Family Hospital, Men’s Guild. Arthur was a communicant and a very active parishioner at St. Theresa’s Church of Methuen, as well as St. Matthew’s Church in Windham. He successfully founded, owned and operated A&R Construction Co. of Methuen and RAJ Realty of Salem. The two business eventually combined into LaChance Associates, which operates today out of Salem. Arthur was an extremely proud WWII United States Navy veteran. He volunteered his services to his country and was a member of the U.S. Navy Seabees during the Normandy Invasion.

    Lawrence, MA — Martine Michaud, 86, passed away July 6 at Blair House in Tewksbury. Mrs. Michaud was born and educated in Ville St. Degelis P.Q. Québec, and was the daughter of the late Alfred Soucy and his wife Alvine St. Pierre. She moved to Lawrence in 1971, and attended the former St. Anne's Church and was a member of La Raconte. Mrs. Michaud had worked as shoe assembler at Lawrence Maid Shoe. The widow of Clovis Michaud, she is survived by her sons, Jean Louis Michaud and his wife, Lisa, and their son, Adam, of Lawrence, Ivan Michaud and his son, Jesse, of Raymond, N.H.; daughters, Jocelyn Thatch and her children, Jimmy and Michelle of Methuen, France Michaud of Methuen, and Linda Michaud of Andover. She is also survived by another granddaughter, Chantal Michaud of Lawrence. Mrs. Michaud was predeceased by her sons, Maurice Michaud and Regenald Michaud and his wife, Pat, and daughter, Nicole.

He was a prominent local lawyer for many years, and later became the Presiding Justice of the Lawrence District Court. He shared 65 years of marriage with his wife, Jennie, who predeceased him in 2011.

    Lawrence — Susan M. Ricci, 96, of Lawrence, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2014. Born in Lawrence, Susan was the daughter of Pasquale and Maddalena (D'Errico) Integlia. She was married to the late Joseph P. Ricci. She was raised and educated in Lawrence, graduating from Lawrence High School. Susan was a member of The Sons of Italy, Lodge 902 in Lawrence, and worked for Western Electric and became a supervisor for Internal Revenue Service. She enjoyed many crafts, including crocheting and ceramics. She performed volunteer work, including teaching classes at the Lawrence Senior Center, and worked for the State of Massachusetts, administering Civil Service Exams, as well as serving Elder Services. She loved bowling and dancing. She belonged to the Come Alive After Five Group, where she served as a board member. She danced at their affairs until age 90. Her extensive travels included European countries, Hawaii, Mexico, the Caribbean Islands, Canada, and throughout the U.S.

She was born and educated in Lawrence, and was the daughter of the late Gabriel Feole and Gertrude Ball. Beverly was predeceased by her two sons, Kevin Patrick Preneveau (Leavitt) and Timothy George Preneveau (Leavitt), whom she missed each and every day.
