METHUEN — Monja departed from an earthly existence for an eternal home in heaven on Monday, November 4, 2013.
A native of Lawrence, she was born on March 8, 1926, and was daughter to Peter and Dorothy (Bartis) Androchuk.
Early in her career, she was employed as a weaver in the local textile industry. Later as wife and mother, she took delight in the pleasures of family life. She also enjoyed bingo and puzzle books.
She was married for 59 years to John Kobrenski, who passed away in 2007. She was also predeceased by three brothers, John, Wally and Peter.
Surviving family members include two sons, Tommy and Paul Kobrenski of Lawrence; one brother, Walter Androchuk and his wife, Carmela, of Methuen; one sister-in-law, Helen Androchuk of Brentwood, N.H.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and eight nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Final acts of farewell and laying to rest were held at graveside in St. Mary/Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence, on Friday, November 8, at 10 a.m., with Rev. William F. Waters, O.S.A. officiating.
