East Hampstead, NH — Enrico M. “Henry” Conte, 79, of East Hampstead, N.H., died on Sunday at the Oxford Manor Nursing Home, Haverhill, Mass. Henry was born in Lawrence, Mass., where he grew up and was educated, graduating from Central Catholic High School. He later attended Merrimack College, and graduated from Wentworth Institute in Boston. He was a resident of East Hampstead for the past 14 years, formerly of Salem, N.H. Henry was a construction engineer for Davison Construction in Manchester, N.H. He was a member of St. Anne’s Parish in Hampstead, N.H. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Henry was involved with Boy Scout Troop 159 in Salem. He was a hard worker and enjoyed traveling, vacationing in Maine, and spending winters in Florida. Henry’s family would like to thank the staff at the Oxford Nursing Home for their love and the care they showed him in his time there.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary V. (Pacheco) Conte of East Hampstead; sons, Enrico Jr. “Rick” and his wife, Susan (Colarusso) Conte of Salem, Kenneth and his wife, Tina Conte of South Weymouth, Mass., and William and his wife, Lori Conte of East Hampstead; and grandchildren, Nicholas, Alyssa, Elizabeth, Amy, William II, Eric, and Jonathan.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 20, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Anne’s Parish, Hampstead, N.H. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Hampstead. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 19, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, N.H.
