Sudbury, MA — Chester Mann Wheeler, Jr., of Sudbury, former longtime Haverhill resident, died Thursday afternoon, December 27, 2012, at the Sudbury Pines Extended Care Facility, just five days shy of his 89th birthday.
Born in Lowell, January 1, 1924, he was the son of the late Chester M. and Bernice W (Poore) Wheeler and was a graduate of Elizabeth High School in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
Mr. Wheeler was a veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Army. After his years of military service, Chester took a job with General Motors in Linden, New Jersey. This turned into a lifelong career, finally retiring from General Motors.
During his years in Haverhill, Chester attended the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church.
Predeceased by his mother and father, he was also predeceased by his brother, Wendell Wheeler. He leaves behind a niece, a nephew, and dear friends from the Methodist church.
