Sr. Marie Armeline Boucher, 91


Methuen — Sr. Marie Armeline Boucher, 91 passed away on Tuesday January 8, 2013 at the Saint Claire Residence of the Presentation of Mary in Methuen.

Born in Manchester, N.H., she was the daughter of Henri and Anna (St. Denis) Boucher. Sr. Marie entered the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary in 1944, taking the religious name Sr. Marie-de-la-Mediation, receiving her Bachelors Degree in education in 1959. Sr. Marie. taught in schools for 36 years in Biddeford, Augusta, and Lewiston, Maine, and also in Gardner, MA. Sr. Marie was also a nurse’s aid for 12 years.

Sr. Marie is survived by one brother, Alfred Boucher; one sister, Jeanette Marcoux; and three nieces, Regina Bilodeau, Elaine Taku and Claire Huot.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 2 –4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m. at the Saint Claire Residence of the Presentation, 209 Lawrence St., Methuen. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, at 2:30 p.m. in the Presentation of Mary Chapel with burial to follow in the Presentation of Mary Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., Methuen.
