Theresa L. Demers, 92


Haverhill — Theresa L. (Miller) Demers, 92, of Groveland, died Sunday, Jan 20th at Penacook Place, after an extended illness. Born in Mechanicville, NY, April 7, 1920, she lived in that city most of her life.

A former seamstress for the former Korell Dress Co. of Mechanicville, she was a communicant of Assumption-St. Paul Catholic Church in her hometown and member of the church's Sacred Heart Society, A member of the "Fighting 69th " Infantry Div. Auxiliary, and her hometown Senior Citizens.

She was predeceased by her husband Frank J. Demers in 1991, her grandson Jeremy Demers in 2004, son-in-law US Army Lt. Thomas Dellwo, KIA Republic of Vietnam, along with a number of siblings.

Survivors include her son Frank A. (Jeanne) of Holderness, NH, daughter Laura T. Dellwo of Groveland, two granddaughters Kristen (Brian) Donegan of West Newbury, Mass and Susan (Jeff) Chalmers of Bristol, Maine and great grandchildren Noah and Phoebe Donegan, Bailey and Caite Chalmers

ARRANGEMENTS: A gathering of friends and prayer service will be held at Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St, (Rte 125) Haverhill on Wednesday beginning at 10:30 Am till Noon. Theresa will return to her hometown for services there Thursday and burial Friday at the Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY.
