Newburyport — John Clarke Walsh, 69, died on March 28th in Newburyport, MA after many years living with the degenerative disease, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).
“Jack” was born on April 19, 1943 in Lawrence, son of the late William and Agnes (Clarke) Walsh, but lived most of his life in Methuen, attending Methuen schools. Jack loved living at Forest Lake, Methuen where his parents, grandparents and aunt and uncles all lived. He was “at home” in the country with his dogs and was a “throw back” to times gone by.
His humor and knowledge of Methuen history will be sorely missed. Jack always brought laughter to everyone and loved being with friends and family.
Jack was a Navy veteran and lived in Newburyport for many years.
He is survived by his sisters, Maribeth Seely and husband Tom of Branchville, NJ and Peggy Hatem of North Andover; his nephew, Tim Francis of Stoddard, NH; his niece, Keribeth( Francis) Walsh and husband Jeff of Sparta, NJ, and Jack’s dear friend, Georgia Koulouras, of Newburyport.
