Donald Francis Currier

South Hampton, N.H. — Donald Francis Currier, age 78, lifelong resident of South Hampton, N.H., died March 13, 2013, at the Tidewell Hospice House in Port Charlotte, Fla., with his family by his side.

Born in Amesbury, October 24, 1934, he was one of three children of the late Earle M. and Ella (Jewell) Currier and attended Barnard Elementary School in South Hampton and Sanborn Seminary High School in Kingston, N.H.

As a self-employed carpenter, Mr. Currier was an extremely knowledgeable craftsman in many trades and a highly respected professional, known throughout the area for his quality workmanship. He was actively involved in his community, always ready to help everyone with whatever needed to be done. If it was something he could not do himself, he would put you in touch with someone who could. He was also a 60 plus year member of Fidelity Grange of South Hampton, had served on the Board of Appeals for the Town as well as Supervisor of Check List. He was proud that he had lived on Main Avenue his entire life, just in five different homes.

For the past nine years Don and his wife Betty enjoyed their winters in Port Charlotte, Fla., especially when family would come for visits.
