Nashua, NH — Lorraine O. Drouin, 90, of Nashua, N.H., passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013, at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, N.H. She was born April 6, 1923, in St. Johnsbury, Vt., a daughter of the late Ernest and Isabel (Morency) Racicot. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred A. Drouin, in 1986 and her brother, Paul Racicot.
Mrs. Drouin lived in Nashua as a child, moved to Lawrence, Mass., and then returned to Nashua in 1956. She worked at the Nashua Public Library for 25 years. Upon her retirement she worked in the lunch room at Infant Jesus School, Nashua.
She enjoyed being at home with family, especially when she was cooking large meals for everyone. Her favorite past-time was going to her grandchildren's sports games and activities. Her faith was also very important to her and she took great comfort in praying the Rosary.
She is survived by five children, Kathleen Marich and her husband, Chuck, of Nashua, Kevin Drouin and his wife, Carol, of Nashua, Patricia Maneely of Sunapee, N.H., Ron Drouin and his wife, Sue, of Oregon and Ken Drouin and his wife, Robin, of New York. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Christopher Marich and his wife, Meg, Andrew Marich, Jenna Drouin and her fiancé, Andrew Richardson, Matthew Drouin, Ann-Marie Navez, Erin and Brian Maneely and Megan King; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held Sunday, June 30, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley St., Nashua. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. Patrick Church, 29 Spring St., Nashua with interment to follow in St. Louis Cemetery, 752 W. Hollis St., Nashua.
