Brentwood, NH — David P. Palen, 59, of Brentwood, died on Sunday, June 16, 2013, at the Exeter Hospital after a sudden illness.
He was born on June 9, 1954, in Haverhill, Mass., and was the son of the late Stanley and Katherine (Zelisko) Palen. He was the husband of the late Pauly Palen, who died May 21, 2013.
Mr. Palen was raised in Haverhill and was a graduate of Haverhill High School. He lived in Haverhill for 20 years, before moving to New Hampshire, where he lived for over 27 years.
David worked for the Swasey School in Brentwood as a plant manager, and prior to this he worked for Foss Manufacturing in Hampton. His passion was classic cars, racing, hockey, and camping.
He was a devoted husband, father and friend, and is survived by his son, James Palen of Brentwood; his siblings, Daniel Palen of Fremont, N.H., Richard Palen of Freedom, N.H., and Barbara Bailey and Linda Fyfe, both of Haverhill; his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Townsend of Brentwood; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife Pauly, he was predeceased by his brothers, Paul Palen and Leonard Palen.
ARRANGEMENTS: A celebration of his life will be held at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Rd., Exeter, N.H., on Saturday, July 6, at 11 a.m. Family and friends are respectfully invited, and may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service.
