Nicholas Valoras, 90

Haverhill — Nicholas Valoras, 90, formerly of Haverhill passed away on November 18, 2012 in Riverside, CA.

He was born in Boston on October 4, 1922, son of the late James and Mary Valoras. Nicholas attended Bates College in Maine and received a master’s degree from UCLA. He was an Army veteran of WWII attaining rank of sergeant. Nicholas retired from the University of California in Riverside and enjoyed hiking, camping and nature. Nicholas was a member of St. Andrews Greek Orthodox Church and the American Legion in Riverside, and was a former member of the Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church in Haverhill.

He is survived by his sister Olga Valoras and his brother Deno Valoras both of Riverside, CA, as well as nieces Michelle Nicolosi and Danielle Valoras and a nephew Dean Valoras.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service on Wednesday, Dec. 5th at Noon at the Holy Apostles Sts. Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 154 Winter St. Haverhill. Burial will follow in the Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. An hour of visitation will precede the service on Wednesday from 11-12 at the Church. Arrangements are by the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes, Haverhill and Bradford.
