Raymond J. Matthes Jr., 57

Haverhill, MA — Raymond J Matthes Jr., 57 passed away on March 27th, 13 at the Lahey Clinic, Burlington, following a short illness.

He was born in Methuen, MA December 12, 1956. He graduated from Lawrence Vocational School. He worked as an auto body repairman as well as a captain of a fishing boat. He grew up in Lawrence, MA and most recently resided in Haverhill, MA with his wife, Sherry Matthes. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, Raymond J Matthes, III and his wife Erin, Justin M. Matthes and his wife Jennifer, Charles M. Matthes, Joseph D. Matthes and Samantha M. Matthes. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, Jesse, Ashleigh, Olivia, Hollie and Raymond.

ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be held at The GOUNDREY & DEWHIRST Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Salem, NH on Tuesday, April 2nd, from 4pm-7pm for family and close friends. Funeral services will immediately follow at 7pm in the funeral home chapel.
