New Salem, MA — Herbert Stork Worsman, 96, died Sunday, April 7, 2013, at his daughter’s home, after an illness. He was the husband of the late Edna D. (Freeman) Worsman who died in 2010.
Herbert leaves his daughter, Ann Stork (Worsman) Colby and her husband, George, of New Salem; two sons, Roger Worsman and his wife, Barbara, and David Worsman and his wife, Mary Ann, all of Dennis, Mass.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Herbert was born in Lawrence, on January 26, 1917, a son of the late Herbert and Ann (Stork) Worsman. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1935, and from Lowell Tech in 1937. He worked for the former Union Twist Drill Co., in Athol as an Estimator for many years. Herbert served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II as a Staff Sergeant. He was a member of the Athol American Legion Post 102, the Orange Lodge of Masons, the Essex Chapeter of DeMolay, and the Grace Episcopal Church in Lawrence.
