North Andover, MA — Janice Pauline (Fessenden) Cookson, 83, of North Andover, passed away September 18, 2013, at the Sutton Hill Nursing Center. Janice was born in Lowell, Mass., the daughter of the late Charles and Pauline (Angier) Fessenden. Janice worked for A.T. & T. for many years and participated in the Pioneers Group while there. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in North Andover and served as the church secretary. She loved doing crafts and oil painting, and was an accomplished seamstress and would make clothes, hats, paintings and jewelry for her family.
Janice is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert W. Cookson of North Andover; daughters, Paula Cookson Luria and her husband, Paul Luria, of Lunenburg, Mass., and Linda J. Dunkley of Salem, N.H. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Adela, Selvin, Marvin, Trinidad, Matthew, Oscar, Michael, and Adam as well as great-grandchildren, Kayla, Giselle and Sebastian and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to attend a service to honor her life on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in North Andover.
