Newton, NH — Christopher J. “Chuck” Ryan, 52, of Newton, died on September 29, 2013, at Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence, MA.
Raised and educated in Merrimac, MA, son of Janet B. (Smallidge) (Ryan) Marra of Plaistow, and the late John Edward Ryan, he enjoyed auto repair, listening to his CB radio, and going for coffee at Dunkin Donuts.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Patricia (Lowe) Ryan, four sons, Christopher J. Lavalley and his wife Jessica of ME, Paul Lowe of OH, John Woolf of OH, and Charles E. Ryan of Newton, five sisters, Pam Page and her husband Michael of Amesbury, MA, Joanne Hamel and her husband Gene of Haverhill, MA, Barbara Ryan of Plaistow, Jennifer Borden of Bradford, MA, and Heidi Voulgaris and her husband Peter of Haverhill, MA, a brother, John Ryan, Jr. and his wife Katie of Haverhill, MA, his best friend, who was like a brother, John “Chope” Chilipyian of North Sutton, his step-father, Cosimo Marra, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
ARRANGEMENTS: A private family burial will take place at Locust Grove Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2013, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the American Legion Farm, Haverhill, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association, National Center, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Route 121A, Plaistow, NH.
