Rose M. Romano, 91


Andover — Rose M. (Lovallo) Romano, 91, of Billerica, formerly of Andover, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 3rd, at Life Care of Merrimack Valley in North Billerica. Rose was born in Lowell and was the daughter of the late Frank and Rosaria (Volonino) Lovallo, and the widow of Lawrence Romano who died in 2009.

Rose was raised and educated in Lawrence. She worked as a stitcher in the Lawrence Mills and later worked as a cashier at Elm Farms and later DeMoulas Market in Shawsheen until her retirement. She loved to spend time crocheting, making things for her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Fran Romano of Chatham, NJ, Rose Stone and her husband, Jim, of Bolton, MA, Dottie Peters and her husband, Jim, of Derry, NH and Jim Romano and his wife, Pat, of Orange, CT. She leaves 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by her brothers, Michael Lovallo, Donato Lovallo, and Joseph Lovallo.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, October 6, 2013, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Her funeral Mass will take place on Monday, October 7, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Church, 43 Essex St., Andover, MA. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence.
