Paul T. Searle III, 63

Haverhill — Paul T. Searle III, 63, of Haverhill, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2013, at his home after a brief illness.

Born in Methuen and educated in Lawrence, he was the son of Paul T. Searle Jr. and Moira (Mcdonald). He attended St. Laurence O'Toole Grammar School, and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. During the Vietnam War, Paul served two tours of duty in the U.S. Army, and received the Vietnam Service Medal, three OS Bars, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, the Good Conduct Medal (1st Award), the Purple Heart, and received an honorable discharge. For more than 15 years, Paul was a manager with Carparts of Seabrook. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and outdoorsman, and enjoyed time with his family and friends.

The widower of Sharon A. (Byron) Searle, he is survived by his brother and sister, RJ. Searle and his wife, Susan, of Merrimac, Mass., and Patricia A. Borgesi and her husband, Mark, of Methuen, Mass.; sisters-in-law, Sandra Sheehan of Methuen, and Sheila Clarke and her husband, Carl, of Salem; nieces and nephews, Ryan and Meghan Searle, Michelle Champagne, Katherine Sullivan, Brian Sheehan, Kerri Olenic, Kelly Chalmers, and Kayla Posada, Christopher and Jeffrey Clarke, and Danielle Beaulieu. Paul also leaves his lifelong friend, Angelo "Angie" Scala, and his wife, Louise, of Seabrook, N.H.

ARRANGEMENTS: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Paul's name to the Wounded Warriors, or Veterans Outreach Center, 10 Reed St., Haverhill, MA 01830. Family and friends will celebrate Paul's life on Monday, from 3 to 6 p.m., at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen. A service will follow at 6 p.m., at the funeral home, concluding with military honors outside in the courtyard of the funeral home.
