Methuen — John Turco, 88, of Methuen passed away peacefully on Thursday October 3. John was born in Methuen, and was a lifelong resident. He was the son of the late Michael and Maria (Vitale) Turco, and the widower of Virginia (Samperi) Turco, who died in 1997.
John was educated in the Methuen School System. He worked with his brothers, Sam and Joe, on the family farm, and worked in the Merrimack Valley shoe factories.
John is survived by his son, Charles K. Erban II and his wife, Pearl, of Andover; and his daughter, Marian J. Reitano of Pickerington, Ohio; his grandchildren, Rebecca Kannam and her husband, Dr. Joseph Kannam of Wellesley, Mass., Maryellen McQuate and her husband, Craig, of North Andover, Dr. Elizabeth Erban of Harvard, Mass., James Reitano and his wife, Bridget, of Pickerington, Ohio, Frederick Reitano of Pickerington, and Scott Reitano and his wife, Laurie, of Indianapolis, Ind.; and his sister, Margie Giarrusso of Methuen; his sister-in-law, Viola Turco of Methuen; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his siblings, Sam Turco, Joseph Turco, Liborio Turco, Grace Iannazzo, Jerry Naffah, and Anna Micche.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, October 10, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen. His funeral service will take place on Friday, October 11, at 10 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence.
