Andover MA — Joseph Nolan Jr., of Andover, passed away peacefully on October 11, surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Joseph and Selina (Spencer) Nolan. He greatly loved and was devoted to his wife, Cecelia (Powers) Nolan, who passed away two years ago. He was also a devoted brother, father and grandfather and will be missed greatly by all those who were close to him.
Born and raised in Lowell, he was a graduate of Lowell High School, and served honorably in the U.S. Navy. He worked for New England Telephone for 35 years, retiring in 1990.
He will be greatly missed by his son, Joseph; daughter, Kathleen Deschenes and her husband, Ron; daughter Lisa Lindsay and her husband, Scott; grandchildren, Toby and Nora Lindsay; and sister, Barbara Nolan. He was predeceased by his brother, Philip Nolan.

ARRANGEMENTS: You are welcome to attend his visitation on Wednesday morning, from 9 to 11 a.m., at the McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell, Mass. His funeral service will be held in the funeral home following the visitation, at 11 a.m. A celebration of his life will be held immediately following at Lenzi's, Route 110, Dracut, and he would be happy if relatives and friends attended in his honor and memory.
