Haverhill — Maria Isabel (Ruiz) Morillo, 73, of Haverhill, died Sunday, October 20, at the Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital in Salem, N.H., after a lengthy illness.
Born and educated in Guatemala City, Guatemala, she was the daughter of Florencio and Candelaria (Sinai) Ruiz. Immigrating to the United States in 1965, she relocated to Haverhill in 2002.
A seamstress by trade, Isabel was primarily a homemaker. She was a great cook, an avid Red Sox fan, and enjoyed tending to her plants and lived for her family. Her love and generosity touched many lives, always welcoming all with an open, nurturing heart.
She leaves her beloved husband of 38 years, Gonzalo Morillo; two sons, Patrick and his fiancé, Dialy Santana, all of Haverhill, Jonathan and his wife, Judy Morillo, of Woburn; two daughters, Scarlett Perez and Joanna Morillo, also of Haverhill; two cherished grandchildren, Keishya and Maxten Lawrence Morillo; six brothers, Fernando, Carlos, Roberto, Manuel, Guillermo, and Daniel; three sisters, Carmen, Veronica, and Lesbia; and several nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss her dearly.
ARRANGEMENTS: Friends and family are respectfully invited to call on Thursday from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill.
