Carol J. Patterson, 91

— Carol was born on December 22, 1921, to Frank N. and Anna (Horne) Patterson. After receiving her bachelor’s degree from Boston University, Carol worked as a math tutor for the Cerebral Palsy Organization for many years. She and her friend, Gertrude Bowles, founded the first Girl Scout Troop for handicapped girls. She was also a member of the DAR.

Carol was predeceased by her brother, Willard Patterson; and two nephews, Jeffrey Patterson and Lee Patterson. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Dorothy Patterson of Charlton, Mass.; her cousin, Karen Burns of Andover; her nephew, Mark Patterson of Brewster; and her niece, Beth Glickman of Goffstown, N.H.
