Andover — Frank R. Polizotti, 82, of Andover, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2013. He was born in Lawrence on April 7, 1931, and was the son of the late Gaspar and Filippa (Bruno) Polizotti.
Mr. Polizotti was educated in Methuen Public Schools and graduated from Searles High School, Class of 1949.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1949 to 1952, attaining the rank of Sergeant, and was attached to the 2nd Marine Division Band. He was president and co-founder of Galaxie Central Vacuum Systems in Lawrence.
Mr. Polizotti was predeceased by his beloved wife of 49 years, Elaine C. (Pridgen) Polizotti.
He is survived by his children, Carol Webb and her husband, Jonathan, of Lowell, John Polizotti and his wife, Stacey, of Pittsfield, N.H., and Frank Polizotti and his wife, Lori, of Concord, Calif.; his grandchildren, Brian Webb of Hooksett, N.H., Kevin Webb of Lowell, Benjamin, James and Samuel Polizotti of Pittsfield, N.H., and Joseph Polizotti of Concord, Calif.; his special great-niece, Lauren Hodgman of Andover; his companion, Mary Esposito of Andover; and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Leo, Gaetano and John Polizotti, Mary Ange, and Anna Fowler.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, November 6, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., on Thursday, November 7, at Corpus Christi Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 35 Essex Street, Lawrence.
Interment will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, Andover.
