North Andover — Lillian C. McDonald of North Andover died Tuesday morning October 9, at Lawrence General Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in Lawrence, March 26, 1921, she was the daughter of Albert E. Robertson and Mary (Cunningham) Robertson. After graduating from North Andover High School and starting her family, Lillian worked as a secretary for the Town of North Andover for many years before finishing her career at the North Andover Middle School.
Predeceased by her son, Bernard L. McDonald and her daughte,r Suzanne Hamlett, she is survived by her daughter, Gayle Clark of Florida; her grandsons John Hamlett of Las Vegas, Brian Clark of Idaho and Morgan Clark of Florida; two great-grandsons, Morgan Clark Jr and Ser Maddox Hamlett; her sister, JoEllen and husband William Ditenhafer of North Andover.
Fondly known as "Nana Banana", Lillian was an avid sports fan, in particular the Boston Celtics. She also loved gardening and playing 45's with her family. She was a very special lady and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third Street, North Andover. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 9:30 a.m. at St. Michael's Church in North Andover. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence.
