James Palleschi, 76


Seabrook, N.H. — James Palleschi, age 76, of Seabrook, N.H., died Monday, October 8 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, N.H., following a recent illness. He was the husband of Faith (Ritter) Palleschi, and the son of the late Anthony and Elsie (Dobbins) Palleschi. Born and raised in Lynn he was a graduate of St. Mary’s Boy’s High School, class of 1953. He lived for many years in Lynn and Peabody before moving to Seabrook 37 years ago. He attended classes at Northeastern University in Boston and was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Palleschi worked as a commercial insurance broker in the New England area until his retirement. He enjoyed walking, bicycle riding, golf, bowling, playing cribbage and cooking. He also enjoyed gardening and was an avid fan of all sports.

Besides his wife Faith of 37 years, he is survived by his children, James Palleschi Jr.of Methuen, Thomas Palleschi and his wife Rosemary of Haverhill, John Palleschi of Peabody and Nancy Palleschi of Lynn; stepdaughters, Joyce Hughes and her husband John of Revere and Rhonda Harrington and her husband Timothy of Billerica. He also leaves his brothers, Richard Palleschi and his wife Barbara of Lynn and Robert Palleschi and his wife Ellen of Saugus; his sister, Janice Palleschi of Lynn; his grandchildren, Courtney Cormier and her husband Todd, Sarah Palleschi, Connor Palleschi, Thomas Palleschi , Michael, Michelle and Christopher Hughes and Patrick Harrington; as well as a great-grandchild, Reese Cormier; an uncle, Thomas Dobbins and an aunt Katherine Goguen. He also leaves three nieces and three grandnephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral will be held from the Solimine, Landergan & Richardson Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Rt129) Lynn on Saturday at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church, Lynn at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn.
