Philip "Phil" Abdoo, 57


Methuen — Philip Abdoo, 57, of Methuen, died peacefully Monday evening October 15, 2012 surrounded by his family and loved ones after a hard fought battle with cancer.

Phil, son of the late Edward and Lorraine (Bistany) Abdoo was born and raised in Methuen. He was self employed for many years as owner of Phil's Place Diner, White Hen Pantry and two Richdale stores just to name a few. He was employed by Massport Authority until his health issues began.

He was a loving husband, father, brother and uncle. He enjoyed cruises, casinos, camping, boating and he was a true Boston sports fan.

Phil will be deeply missed by his wife Vita (Angileri) Abdoo; his son, Edward and wife Kimberly (Deschenes) Abdoo; son Philip Jr.(PJ) all of Methuen; his sister, Catherine (Abdoo) Shearer-Neily and her partner Hilda Neily of Provincetown; his brother-in-law Joseph and wife Mary Angileri of Tewksbury, along with his nieces and nephew and beloved great-nephew.

ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral mass will be offered Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church in Lawrence. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery, Methuen. Friends may call, Friday 4 to 8 p.m. at Farrah Funeral Home, 133 Lawrence St, Lawrence.
