Francis J. "Frank" Gibbs, 60


Haverhill — Francis J. “Frank” Gibbs, 60, passed away on October 25, 2012 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House. Frank was the husband of Maureen A. “Moe” (Shaughnessy) Gibbs.

Born in Haverhill on June 12, 1952, he was the son of Catherine (Hutchins) Gibbs of Palm Bay, FL and the late Walter Gibbs.

Frank had worked seventeen years as a Euclid earth mover operator for Red Torromeo in Plaistow. His passion for mechanics and automobiles has led to a successful career as a builder of race cars, go carts and slot cars. His broad expertise in the field has led others to seek his advice as a consultant. He had worked several years as a bus driver for Coppola Bus Co., and during that time he met his future wife to whom he had been married for seventeen years. Frank loved animals and particularly his dogs.

He is survived by his children, Thomas, Jennifer, Derek and wife Christine, Desiree and husband Joseph; grandchildren, Amber and Alexia; siblings, Walter “Skip” Gibbs, Mary Takesian and husband Richard, Horace Gibbs, Edward Gibbs and wife Dawn; several nieces and nephews, and his best friend, Rick Dondero and his wife Charlene.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Dole, Childs & Shaw Funeral Home, 148 Main Street, Haverhill.
