Groveland and Lynn — Jill E. Ditty, 26, of Fall Riverm and formerly of Groveland and Lynn, mother of Aiden Lavinm and daughter of David and Mary (Dumas) Ditty of Groveland, died on Thursday, January 16, 2014.

Born in Salem, she grew up in Lynn and Groveland, where she attended Triton and Pentucket schools. She recently had been a student in the Salter School in Fall River, studying to be a medical sssistant.

Jill was very athletic, as she enjoyed cheerleading, hiking and dance. She was also a creative woman, who had a gift for artistic expression with knitting and other craft items. She loved being a mother, and will be missed greatly by those who knew her.

She is survived by a son, Aiden Lavin of Fall River; her parents, David and Mary (Dumas) Ditty of Groveland; a brother, David Ditty of Hampton Beach, N.H.; a sister, Andrea Ditty of Merrimac, Mass.; paternal grandparents, Robert and Maria (Bugl) Ditty of Peabody; maternal grandparents, Paul and Barbara (Quinlan) Dumas of Peabody; a nephew, Colin Burns; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family and friends.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather at 9 a.m., on Wednesday, January 22, from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a funeral Mass, at 10 a.m., in St. Ann’s Church, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Memorial donations may be made to the Aiden Lavin Memorial Fund, c/o TD Banknorth, Groveland, MA.
