Longmeadow, MA — Jean Rita (Grzyb) Maloof, 100, passed away peacefully on November 6, at her home in Longmeadow, with her loving family by her side. Born in Lowell, she was a loving daughter of the late George and Josephine Grzyb. Raised and educated in Lowell, she was a longtime resident of Lawrence. Jean was the loving wife of the late Frederick E. Maloof. She was a fantastic cook, an avid reader and a passionate New England Patriots fan.
Jean is survived by her loving children, Gail (Maloof) Kurland and her husband, Jeff, of Newton, Donna (Maloof) Labonte and her husband, William, of Longmeadow, and Frederick Maloof and his wife, Noreen, of Lynnfield; her cherished grandchildren, Christine Johnson and her husband, Edward, Abraham Kurland, and Joshua Kurland; and her adored great-grandchildren, Madelyn and T.J. Johnson.
ARRANGEMENTS: A private family interment will be held at The United Lebanese Cemetery in Lawrence. A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean’s memory to the American Cancer Society. Hafey Funeral Service has been entrusted with the arrangements.
