Methuen — Carmela A. (Perillo) Fazio, 90, of Methuen, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013, at the Methuen Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born and raised in Lawrence, and was a graduate of Lawrence High School and Macintosh Business School.
Mrs. Fazio was employed by various companies as a secretary, and later while raising her boys, as a cafeteria worker at the Pleasant Valley Grammar School in Methuen. She was also a Scout Leader at Biggs Air Force Base in El Paso, Texas, while her husband was stationed there in the 1950s.
Carmela enjoyed crocheting, and made many beautiful gifts for family and friends. She was also a fabulous cook. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and relatives.
Carmela was predeceased by her parents, Adamo and Petronella Perillo; his first wife, Betina; her brothers, Anthony, Joseph, John, and Frank Perillo; and her sisters, Concetta Perillo, Betina Perillo and Elvera Fuco.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Orazio J. Fazio Sr.; her son, Horace J. Fazio and his wife, Juanita, of Methuen, and Thomas J. Fazio of Methuen; her grandchildren, Angela T. Fazio, Sarah Brown and Andrew Brown; a close niece, Janet Perillo of Lawrence; and several other nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, November 19, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen. Her funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, November 20, at the funeral home. Entombment will be in St. Mary–Immaculate Conception Mausoleum, Lawrence.
