Lawrence — Adrien “Eddy” J. Martin, 88, of Lawrence, passed away on Friday, November 15, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Lawrence, and was the son of the late Wilfred and Eleanor (Perron) Martin. Adrien was raised and educated in Lawrence, and later enlisted to serve his country in the U.S. Navy. Prior to retiring, he worked as mechanic at Champy's Garage in Lawrence for many years. In his free time, Adrien enjoyed bowling, skiing, motorcycling, golfing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Adrien is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, A. Theresa (Sampson) Martin; a son, James E. Martin and his wife, Susan, of Clearwater, Fla.; daughters, Barbara J. Burns and her husband, Robert, and Betty Martin, both of Eliot, Maine; sisters, Blanche Pomerleau and Irene Castonguay, both of Lawrence; 10 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Thomas W. Martin.
ARRANGEMENTS: There will be no visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service that will take place on Wednesday, November 20, at 11 a.m., at the St. Mary Immaculate Conception Mausoleum in Lawrence, with entombment to follow.
