Haverhill — Hilary Woronko, 77, of Haverhill, passed peacefully on Friday morning November 15, 2013 at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Hilary was born in Bolesty Nowe, Poland, on August 10, 1936, and was the son of the late Antoni and Wladyslawa Woronko. As a young man, he served in the Polish Army, and soon after married his beloved wife, Zofia. Together they started a family, later immigrating to the United States in hopes of a better life and promising future for their children.
He was a consummate tinkerer, who enjoyed gardening, woodworking and all things mechanical. His family owes their curiosity, work ethic and passion for learning to him.
Hilary is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Zofia; children, Eric Woronko of Tulsa, Okla., Zig Woronko and his wife, Elaine, and Tomasz Woronko, all of Haverhill; grandchildren, Alec, Lina, Davina, Erica, and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Emmett and Adam; as well as many close friends and extended family.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visitation for Mr. Woronko will be held on Friday, November 22, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 South Main Street, Route 125, Bradford, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be privately held in the Woronko Family Lot of Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
