Emma Louise Uliano, 97


North Andover — Emma Louise Borrelli Uliano of North Andover, died suddenly at Lawrence General Hospital on Tuesday March 13th, 2013. Emma was born in Methuen to John and Louise Ciprano Borrelli and was educated in Lawrence, graduating from Lawrence High School. She retired from her last position as quality inspector at Gillette of Andover 35 years ago. She was predeceased by her husband Albert F. Uliano, to whom she was married for 47 years, and her daughter Louise J. Manzi. She was also predeceased by her siblings Alfred, Josephine, Anna, Philomena, Arthur, Frank, and Albert Borrelli and Lillian Cianci.

Emma is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Jean and Richard Abel of Newburyport, Paula and Joseph Travers of Bradford, Christine Parks with whom she resided, and son-in-law Richard Manzi. She is also survived by her siblings Michelina Pollano, Irene Calabrese, and John Borrelli and sisters-in-law Francis Borrelli, Nellie Damato, Dora Uliano, and brother-in-law and wife Dalio and Bobbi Uliano.

Emma enjoyed spending her time with her 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, sharing her passions of cooking, crocheting, gardening and moving trees around the yard. She was also very proud of her first great-great-grandson. Many family gatherings were spent around her dining room table eating her famous Italian dishes and playing cards. She will be sadly missed by all who will carry on these family traditions.

The family is especially grateful to her special friends Gen Alosky, Ida Ciardello, Helen Whitney, Eugenia Hernandez, and Senior Connections staff and members who lit up her life.

ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call Saturday from 10 to 12 p.m. at Conte Funeral Home at 17 3rd Street, North Andover, MA 01845. A service will immediately follow at the same location.
