North Andover — Paul C. Ewing Jr., 81, of North Andover died March 25, 2013, after a long battle with cancer, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill. Mr. Ewing was born in Melrose, the son of the late Paul C. Sr. and Olive R. (Wade) Ewing. Mr. Ewing graduated from Stoneham High School where he was a four year varsity hockey letterman. He was proud to serve the country he loved as a Korean War Army Veteran, was a member of the Methuen V.F.W. and an avid fan of the New England sport teams. Mr. Ewing worked for 23 years as a Quality Assurance Engineer for C.S. Draper Laboratory in Cambridge, and loved traveling and wintering in Florida with the love of his life, his wife of 58 years, Elizabeth E. (Hearn) Ewing of North Andover.
Besides his wife, Mr. Ewing is survived by his devoted children; Dennis P. Ewing and wife Lucille of Tewksbury, Lynne (Ewing) Houde and husband Steven of Alexandria, VA, Susan A. (Ewing) Lagasse and husband Lawrence of Winchendon, Nancy E. (Ewing) Driscoll and husband Daniel of Rutland and Brian K. Ewing and wife Denise of Lowell, 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, a sister Shirley A.Treacy of Stoneham and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: A Funeral service will be held at the Chapel at West Parish Garden Cemetery in Andover on Friday, March 29th at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow in West Parish Cemetery.
