Methuen — Mr. Salvatore A. Tommasi, 85, beloved husband of Antoinette (Azzarito) died peacefully after a long illness at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen on Thursday, November 1, 2012. Mr. Tommasi was born in Lawrence on March 23, 1927, the son of the late John and Theresa (Margarita).
He attended local schools and was employed by Raytheon as a supervisor for 25 years. He was a musician who performed locally and in surrounding areas. He enjoyed playing golf and had great joy in spending time with his adoring nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews and God Children, Deborah Sasso Flanagan and Lisa Stone.
In addition to his loving wife of 59 years, he is survived by his nieces and nephews; John Richard Tommasi and wife Lesley of Windham, NH, Susan Grubbs and husband Wynn of Salem, NH, John Charles Tommasi and wife Anne of Windham, NH, Nicholas Azzarito of Charlestown, Attorney Anthony Azzarito and wife Heather of Haverhill, Doctor Lisa Esposito of Sugarland, Texas, Joan Razook and husband Scott of Sugarland, Texas, John Esposito and wife Lydia of Katonah, New York and Michael McKenna of California. He is also survived by loving grand-nieces and grand-nephews and god children, sister-in-law Brenda Azzarito, brother-in-law Francis Esposito and pre-deceased by brothers Charles and John Tommasi.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, November 4, 2012 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Cataudella Funeral Home 126 Pleasant Valley St. Methuen. Funeral services will be Monday, November 5, 2012 at 12:00 Noon in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery, Lawrence.
