Methuen — Dolores M. (Simkovich) Romano, 77, of Methuen passed away Friday, November 2, 2012 at the Lawrence General Hospital. She was born in Johnstown, PA and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Louise Simkovich.
Mrs. Romano was raised and educated in Chicago. She had lived in Lawrence for the greater part of her life before moving to Methuen. She worked for many years at Parlex Corporation in Methuen and enjoyed playing Bingo. To Dolores, her greatest accomplishment was her family.
Mrs. Romano was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Donald J. Romano and her son, Donald J. Romano, Jr.
She is survived by a son, David and his wife Ann of Methuen; six daughters, Anita Kirmil and her husband Robert of Methuen, Janet Fontaine and her husband Michael of Haverhill, Ursula Romano of Methuen, Leta Romano and her companion Daniel Cain of Methuen, Endora Romano and her companion Brad Bordeau of Port Henry, NY and Thalesha Wall and her husband Joseph of Bradford. There are twenty grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, November 5, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Cataudella Funeral Home 126 Pleasant Valley St. Methuen. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Lucy’s Church 254 Merrimack St. Methuen. Burial will be in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence.
