Marie A. Higgins, 75

Plaistow, N.H. — Marie A. (Nutter) Higgins, 75, of Plaistow, formerly of Methuen, died peacefully at home Saturday, November 10, 2012.

Marie, daughter of the late Lester C. and Gertrude A. (Fraughton) Nutter, was born in Lawrence on January 10, 1937. She graduated from St. Mary High School in Lawrence and then Macintosh Business School two years later. Marie lived in Dorchester for many years and then Florida before moving to Methuen in 1997. She was Bookkeeper at Boston Children’s Hospital until her retirement. She enjoyed art, painting, fishing and the sun and beaches in Florida.

She will be deeply missed by her son, David T. Higgins of South Boston and her daughter, Lisa M. Coito and her significant other, Daniel Reynolds of Plaistow; four brothers, James Nutter of Boone, NC, William Nutter of North Andover and Haverhill, Donald Nutter of Panama City Beach, FL and Kenneth Nutter of Andover; one sister, Judith Sirois of Atkinson, NH; one grandson, Daniel Higgins and one great granddaughter, Courtney Higgins, both of Pelham, NH. Her husband, Thomas F. Higgins, died in 1997. She was also predeceased by her brother, John Nutter of North Andover.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012 with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated in St. Monica’s Church, 212 Lawrence St,. Methuen at 9 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary - Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence. Friends will be warmly received in the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. , Methuen from 4-8 PM on Thursday, November 15, 2012.
