Methuen — Karin Sears, 49, of Methuen, MA died surrounded by her family and her dear friend Patti on November 10th after an eleven year battle with Scleroderma. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. She grew up in North Andover and was a 1980 graduate. She went on to graduate from Nichols College (1984). She received a M.S. in Education at University of Massachusetts at Lowell (U-Lowell). She was a teacher at West Elementary in Andover.
Her hobbies were reading, swimming, puzzles, dancing, playing board games, camping, and attending her daughter’s sporting events. Karin loved everything about the beach and the ocean. She loved campfires, wearing her perfectly toasted marshmallows all over her face and other events with her neighbors, whom she considered part of her family. She was an active participant in both a Scleroderma and a Pulmonary Hypertension support group.
She leaves her beloved husband Paul and two beautiful daughters Tracy and Annie, who were her pride and joy. She was the daughter of Donald and Mary Stewart, a sister to Cindy Cluney (all of North Andover) and Jeffrey Stewart (Derry NH). She also left behind a large extended family, many friends, and her dog, Paws.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Thursday, November 15th at 10AM in St. Michael Church, North Andover. Interment is private. Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday from 3 to 8 in the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third Street, North Andover.
