Vincent Cosmo Parolisi, 75


Stratham, NH — Vincent Cosmo Parolisi, 75, passed away on April 16, 2013, in the presence of his loving family. He was born in Lawrence, Mass., and was the son of the late James Peter and Santa Rose (Testa) Parolisi.

After graduating from Central Catholic High School, Class of 1955, Vinnie joined the US Air Force. He was stationed at Oklahoma City Air Force Base where he met his wife, Shirley. He is a graduate of Northeastern University (BS) and of New Hampshire College (MBA). He was a former executive of Raytheon Co. for 30-plus years of total service. He also spent many years of employment for Avco and Computervision.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley (Smeltzer) Parolisi; his son, James R. Parolisi and his wife, Diane C. Parolisi of Weare, N.H.; daughter, Denise (Parolisi) Shay and her husband, Rick Shay, of Londonderry, N.H.; daughter, Joy (Parolisi) Darby and her husband, David Swan of Bedford, Mass.; and daughter Gail (Parolisi) Freund and her husband, Dan Freund, of Newfields, N.H.; and his sister, Sandra (Parolisi) Leary and her husband, Frank Leary, of Atkinson, N.H. He leaves 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Rockingham VNA & Hospice for their love and care to Vinnie, with special thanks to Aveen and Heather.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends will be received at visiting hours on Sunday, April 21, 2013, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen, MA. A mass of Christian burial will take place on Monday, April 22, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 40 Main Street, Salem, NH. A private burial with military honors will follow at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, N.H.
