Andover — John A. Cappello, 82, of Andover, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday April 12, 2014, at home. He was born in Lawrence, Mass., and was the son of the late Emanuel and Mary (Polisano) Cappello.
John was born, raised and educated in Lawrence. John was a charismatic man, who loved life. He enjoyed cooking, acting in plays, painting, writing, and following the Red Sox and Patriots. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
John was survived by his loving children, Marie Cappello of Hampton, N.H., Danielle Cappello-Greely and her longtime partner, Salvatore Jabour of Methuen, Jay E. Cappello of Salem, N.H., Gina Gatchell and her husband, Edward, of Methuen, Matthew Hemeon of Haverhill, and Anna Cayer and her husband, Richard, of Dracut; his 12 grandchildren; and his brother, Anthony Cappello of New Hampshire. John was predeceased by his son, John A. Cappello Jr.; and his sister, Frances Violette.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to memorial visiting hours on Wednesday, April 16, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St. Methuen, with his services to follow at 7 p.m.
