Sandown, NH — Nancy Ann Andrews, 72, loving wife and mother, passed away from cancer on Sunday morning, April 27, 2014, at Country Manor in Newburyport, Mass.
She was born on May 5, 1941, in Lynn, Mass., and was the daughter of the late John and Sara (Askin) Poland.
Nancy was raised and educated in Saugus, Mass., and graduated from Saugus High School. She had attended Piedmont Bible College in North Carolina.
She had had worked for General Electric in Lynn, Mass., for five years, and for Lucent Technologies in North Andover, Mass., as an assembler, for 20 years. She retired in 2001.
Nancy was a member of the First Congregational Church in Kingston, N.H., where she was very active, especially with the Bible Study Program.
She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, and enjoyed taking her daughters shopping whenever she could.
Nancy was a big Boston sports fan, who loved the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. She and her husband, Earle, enjoyed traveling to the Grand Canyon and to Florida together.
She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 50 years, Earle F. Andrews; her daughters, Debra Nadeau, Lauri Dennis and husband, Steven, and Tamie Genest and husband, Richard; her brothers, John Poland and Robert Poland; and her sister, Shirley Harriman; and her grandchildren, Andrew Dennis, Timothy Dennis, Megan Genest-Carignan, and Bryan Genest.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, May 1, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Route 121A, Plaistow, N.H. Funeral services will take place on Friday, May 2, at 10 a.m., at the First Congregational Church in Kingston, N.H., with burial to follow in Center Cemetery, Sandown, N.H.
